The first conversation
Without judgement and without assuming in advance what your goal should be. We listen to what is actually going on.
Individual consultation · Warsaw and online
A conversation without moralising and without labels. We look at the relationship with a substance or a behaviour, at the real risk, at the resources available, and at which next step makes the most sense today.
Starting point
„Not everyone who drinks too much wants never to drink again. Before you judge the goal, it is worth seeing honestly what is actually happening.”
Most centres in Poland offer one model of working with addiction: total abstinence as the only acceptable goal. That approach makes sense for some people, but not for everyone, and it can be a barrier that puts people off seeking any help at all.
Consultations at SACRUM work from a harm reduction approach: they accept that changing a relationship with a substance or a behaviour can look different ways — from complete abstinence, through cutting back and greater control, to learning safer ways of using. The choice of goal belongs to the client, not to the therapist.
The conversation covers the real risk (to health, legally, in relationships), what the substance or behaviour gives that person, and the resources that can be used for change — without shame and without pressure towards one correct outcome.
How it runs
Without judgement and without assuming in advance what your goal should be. We listen to what is actually going on.
Together we name what is most risky right now and what is already working in your favour.
Harm reduction, cutting back, abstinence or further assessment — the decision about the goal is the client's.
If the situation calls for addiction treatment in the clinical sense, we refer you to an appropriate facility.
Who it is for
When the question is «is this even a problem» rather than only «how do I stop».
For those who tried the «all or nothing» approach and it did not work, or who do not want it as the only option.
A consultation can also be about how to talk and how to respond when the problem belongs to someone close to you.
An important boundary
Next step
Before booking you can ask about the format, the scope and availability. We answer plainly — including when a different method would serve you better.
